Regulatory & Chemical Content

Ariel™ Global Chemical and Regulatory Content
Identifying, tracking, maintaining and complying with international regulatory guidelines related to chemicals, food additives and flavors has never been more important—or more complex. Companies of all sizes increasingly face challenges that result from globalization in the marketplace and an increase in international initiatives to protect the health and safety of employees and consumers, as well as the environment. The regulations, initiatives and directives devised and enforced by regulatory and governing bodies throughout the world are individually published in a variety of formats and locations. This information is scattered amongst hundreds of websites, reference guides and other disparate sources and is not easily shared among various personnel within a company who need to reference it. Having centralized access to comprehensive, current global chemical and regulatory information can significantly reduce the amount of time spent by EH&S, regulatory and R&D professionals researching and maintaining this information. Their time is better spent on more strategic functions.
The foundational core of Ariel products and services is the massive aggregation of global chemical and regulatory content. Access to this content is provided via:
- A web-based subscription to Ariel WebInsight™ for chemicals
- A web-based subscription to ArielLogic™ for Food & Flavors
- Integration into a customer’s existing EH&S application, such as an EMS, ERP or other corporate system: Ariel Data Manager™ (ADM)
- 3E’s enterprise MSDS authoring, distribution and management platform, MSDgen®
EH&S Regulatory Specialists
3E Company's own team uses documented best practice methodology and direct relationships with regulatory bodies across the globe, to gather, refine and maintain Ariel data. In short, 3E owns the content, the underlying technology and the people who deliver the ultimate product. This stands in stark contrast to other vendors who may buy the bulk of their content from a third party, and then simply repackage and resell it.
The team tracks changes to legislation already covered in Ariel products and services and identifies new legislation that enhances the Ariel global regulatory database. The Ariel Global Research Team has the experience, contacts and language skills needed to stay current with global regulations. The team consists of professionals with a wide range of industry experience, including chemistry, law and other EH&S issues. They can also facilitate reliable translation and dialog with appropriate regulatory bodies. Ariel global content is based on official government sources, so the team’s experience is beneficial in maintaining active relationships with the government agencies around the world that provide assistance in procuring and analyzing legislation.
