The anticipated TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory “reset” was recently proposed on January 13, 2017. With this proposal, the U.S. EPA would require a retrospective electronic notification of chemical substances on the Inventory that were manufactured (including imported) or processed for non-exempt commercial purposes during the ten-year time period ending on June 21, 2016. Other TSCA updates with significant implications include requirements for reporting nanomaterials, and confidential business information (CBI) claims.
