Footprint Data Sheets™
Footprint Data Sheets (FDSs)™ make it simple for a company to track its supply chain carbon footprint and discover the origins of its products. Armed with this information, a company can make educated and scientifically-based strategic business decisions regarding their products’ impact on the environment to better position their brand as sustainable. It also provides our customers with critical Sustainability information when selecting suppliers, vendors and partners.
There are three types of FDSs:
| Material MFDS™ | Product PFDS™ | Facility FFDS™ |

For raw material (process) manufacturers >> Learn more |
For finished product (discrete) manufacturers >> Learn more |
For manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, retailers and more >> Learn more |
Material Footprint Data Sheets: MFDS™
For manufacturers of raw materials and feedstocks, 3E and Source 44 can enhance their product offering by creating Material Footprint Data Sheets (MFDS) ™ for each of your products.
How?
A Source 44 subscription from 3E provides a straightforward, easy-to-use web interface and 24/7 phone service to help ensure your changing production information is kept up to date. We can also directly link to your reporting systems so you can automate the entire process. You will also receive instant exposure to all Source 44 subscribers who may be looking for the raw material you supply.
But I already do that...
If you’re already monitoring the GHG emissions of your facilities and processes, 3E and Source 44 make things easier for you by storing and maintaining that data automatically. We can then serve as a single point of contact for all of your customers' GHGe and sustainability data requests. We'll handle all of your supply chain sustainability data queries – so that you don’t have to repeat the same information over and over to each customer.
What is sustainability data?
If you are not already tracking GHGe and sustainability data on your materials or products then we can help you fill in the blanks. Our experts help you assemble all of the pieces of the sustainability puzzle. What's more, we can help you fit them together into a comprehensive, clear package that your customers can use to receive the data needed to stay on top in this environmentally conscious economy.
Product Footprint Data Sheets: PFDS™
If you are a manufacturer of finished products, we can help you in two ways.
- By supplying MFDSs™ for all of your raw materials and feedstocks;
- By creating a Product Footprint Data Sheet (PFDS) ™ for your finished product that includes the processing input you provide as well as references to your component parts and raw materials.

Gather and maintain information about a single material. We provide a full sustainability profile in our proprietary Footprint Data Sheet™ format for each material. |

Customers receive supply chain data at minimal cost and maximum exposure to alternative suppliers of the same material. Data provided on-demand to the customer in the method they prefer. |
Taking the first step in “greening your supply chain”. Data enables customers to present complete carbon footprint when Federal legislation is implemented, or to comply with other state, local or international requirements.. Enables full lifecycle carbon footprint calculation. |

Raw material suppliers have |
Suppliers have an incentive to provide data to Source 44. They avoid repeating it to each individual customer while receiving exposure to new potential customers. | The information our subscribers have is always current and accurate. |
| Our company is carbon-neutral. | We do not add to our customer’s carbon footprint. | Reduced effort to produce a carbon neutral product. |
Facility Footprint Data Sheets: FFDS™
Facility Footprint Data Sheets (FFDS)™ contain key GHG emissions and sustainability data regarding a particular facility or site. The need for facility-level data is accelerated for some companies by the EPA's mandatory reporting GHG requirements (40 CFR Part 98), which came into effect December 29, 2009. Under Part 98, suppliers of fossil fuels or industrial GHGs, manufacturers of vehicles and engines, and facilities that emit 25,000 metric tons or more per year of GHG emissions are required to submit annual reports to EPA. Under additional proposed rules, these GHG reporting requirements will actually be expanded to include many additional industries and companies. Some US companies already have mandatory GHGe reporting schemes in place; the FFDS™ will also enable simplified GHGe inventory submission to those states requiring such information.
