3E Online® - MSDS provides web-based access to a customer’s hazardous material inventory and associated Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) 24-7-365. Instant Internet access to this information assists in environmental, health and safety (EH&S) and hazard communication compliance requirements. 3E Online can be further enhanced with add-on modules. Startup is highly efficient with no installation required. 3E Online - MSDS is delivered via an easy and intuitive web browser interface that puts EH&S information and compliance one click away.

The interface supports a wide variety of languages, enabling users to search for MSDSs in their local language, making this an ideal solution for companies with facilities in various countries.

The Gold Standard Edition is our standard package for effective and efficient web-based MSDS inventory management. For the advanced user who requires regulatory impact analysis features, expanded search, and product properties modification capabilities, see our Platinum Expert Edition. Inventory Management

The foundation of both the 3E Online - MSDS service and a customer’s materials information management system is a clear and accurate chemical inventory. This inventory also assists the customer as they seek to improve compliance through identification of associated regulations plus training, handling, storage, use and disposal. Customers simply provide a list of products and a list of locations. Once an inventory has been submitted to 3E, our Manufacturer Alliance team contacts the supplier to obtain the appropriate MSDS for each country and the required languages. From there, the team begins to build a customer catalog specific to the company's needs. Alternatively, customers can begin by using the inventory-building tool, which features easy, step-by-step instructions for building an inventory of MSDSs specific to multiple individual locations. Customers can update, add, or delete products from their catalog, as well as run reports. Materials inventories are available real-time in both summary and detail format. Custom fields can also be added at any time and are visible to all employees.

Updates and Revisions

3E’s Data Center Specialists maintain the 3E database through a regular review of all MSDSs in line with any new or modified regulations, to ensure that the most current sheet is available to customers. And, based on 3E’s extensive manufacturer relationships, many MSDSs are often supplied directly to 3E’s library when an update is issued or a new product is released. When a new MSDS is obtained, it is scanned to produce a PDF image.

Indexation

  Customers can compare their site-specific inventory to more than 50 regulatory lists including SARA, CERCLA, TSCA and others to identify regulated or potentially regulated products and chemicals.

  Search by product name, manufacturer, internal number, CAS RN, EU classification or chemical substance name in a variety of languages, including English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.

  In the event users are unable to connect to the internet 3E provides 24-7-365 assistance via phone for MSDS fax requests.

  Expired MSDSs are archived at a secure storage facility on paper or in electronic format (DAT tape). Customers have access to these archived MSDSs upon request.
